Temporary and Contract Services (including fixed term)

Logical’s temporary and contract services division is equipped to meet the flexible and short-term contingent staffing needs of business on a 24/7 basis across all of our operating divisions.  We understand that our client’s need a flexible and scalable workforce in order to operate effectively and to deliver on your customer promises. 

We place great emphasis on training and developing our consultants and support staff.  Many of our people have worked in the industries that they specialise in so they know your business and the language that you speak.  They understand the way you operate, the time pressures and deadlines that you work to and the regulations and legislation governing your commercial activities.  Deadlines, contract commitments and customer service objectives need to be met, whatever the circumstances and challenges.

Permanent Recruitment Services

At Logical, our recruitment services are consultative, bespoke and comprehensive.  Our service can be applied to the recruitment of a single candidate for a specific role or to large scale recruitment campaigns.  We engage with our clients to develop and agree effective recruitment strategies and tactics and we execute thoroughly to completion.  Completion, in our definition, means the end of the probationary period agreed between the client and the successful placed candidate.  This means we continue our engagement with our client and with the successful candidate by supporting them both, beyond the first day of work right through to the point at which the candidate is notified by the client of continued employment.

Interim Management Services

Interim management is increasingly being used as a strategic resource by organisations of almost any size.  Interim managers are often viewed as a resource that can be bought in to help steer organisations through tough times or to fill gaps in management.  In some cases, they are seen simply as a tool to be used to avoid a permanent hire.

Search and Selection Services

Executive Search or “head-hunting” is now the preferred method of top-level and specialist recruitment for most European companies. It is appropriate for senior appointments, where confidentiality is a high priority and prospective appointees are unlikely actively to be seeking alternative employment.  It is also best for highly specialised positions.

Recruitment Process Outsourcing

More and more organisations are outsourcing certain business processes to specialist providers.  Here at Logical, our speciality is the provision of human capital services and one of our core competencies is recruitment.  Linking our recruitment capability with our management and consulting expertise provides clients with a compelling RPO option allowing them to outsource some or all of the recruitment function for Logical to manage in its entirety.  In this service model we are embedded in the client’s business as an intrinsic component of the HR function.  We work with our clients to shape and develop recruitment strategy and tactics across the whole organisation to deliver the totality of recruitment needs.

This service model provides:

  • Permanent access to the recruitment capacity of one of the UK’s leading recruitment, staffing and human capital services organisations;
  • A partner to consult with on developing recruitment strategy and tactics – short, medium and long-term;
  • Improved efficiency of the recruitment business process and supply chain; and
  • Improved productivity; lowering the unit cost of recruitment.
  • Substituting fixed recruitment costs for variable costs based on bespoke deliverables.

Vendor Management

Engaging Logical to act as a master vendor allows clients to control the time and cost associated with staffing and recruitment to a greater degree than ever before.  Quality and productivity is improved whilst costs can be lowered.  Organisations dealing with multiple recruitment providers are often not able to achieve the best and most consistent value for money.  The organisations own line managers are required to be further engaged than necessary diminishing focus on their core activities and responsibilities.  Dealing with multiple providers in this way means that organisations rarely know the true cost of recruitment and suffer inconsistent and sub-standard service delivery.

A master vendor relationship with Logical not only identifies the real cost of recruitment, but that cost is delivered through a single invoice.  The recruitment supply chain is rationalised and improved, lowering the unit cost of recruitment.  The service model also enables the establishment of a definitive service standard enshrined in a Service Level Agreement and the delivery of bespoke management information covering all recruitment activity.

On-site Managed Services

Some clients task Logical to coordinate and manage the provision of recruitment, staffing and other human capital management services from their own premises, particularly where site demand and volumes are high.  We have a significant amount of experience of managing service delivery from client premises both in the UK and internationally, often placing individual Account Managers through to placing whole teams on site.  The benefits of this approach are that a deeper understanding is forged as a result of closer integration into the clients business and culture.  This leads to enhanced management and coordination of the service process, closer involvement with client operational staff to delivering better communication and responsiveness to needs and the development of bespoke operational and financial management information, often using the clients own systems and processes.
