The five-year-old firm is on track to report another record breaking year with turnover expected to more than double again in 2008 following a 105% increase in 2007 to £4.2 million. A rapidly growing Leeds-based recruitment firm has expanded into familiar territory in readiness for another record year of growth.

Logical Resources, with headquarters on Regent Street, has increased in size by opening a second Leeds office directly opposite its original HQ .The five-year-old business recently registered a 105% increase in turnover to £4.2 million and is well on track to more than double in size again in 2008.

Managing Director Rob Carlton explained: “We are experiencing phenomenal growth that places us as one of the fastest growing recruitment firms in the UK and required a dramatic increase in office space to house our 11 strong industry sectors. We looked at various options but eventually decided to stay close to home. 

“Logical Resources Trades, a business created to focuses primarily on construction recruitment, is expected to contribute to 65% of an expected £10 million turnover for both companies in 2008.

“There’s no truth in the rumour that we will soon be building a bridge over Regent Street to link our two HQ locations. I’d have never have got the planning but it would have been ideal!” added Rob who is expecting to double his workforce from 40 to 80 over the next twelve months.

Over the last two years Logical has opened offices in Manchester and Bristol . In February the firm will spread their network further with branches on Liverpool Street in Central London and Cardiff with a Glasgow office also on the agenda to cope with demand from a wide range of national and regional blue chip firms including BT, Nestle, 118 118 and Yellow Pages.

Safe Pair of Hands!  

As part of our continuous improvement program and commitment to best practice, Logical Resources Trades staff are taking their CITB Health & Safety Test.  We have trained our staff in all aspects of Health & Safety and the staff in our Head Office in Leeds are  the first to pass the CITB Health & Safety Test. A high percentage of our internal employees and our on site staff are now CSCS card holders and are working towards our Gold CSCS award.

The training is being rolled out to the Bristol office in January, with consultants due to sit the exam early in the New Year. With the impending new offices in Cardiff, London and Scotland the training and development will continue.  Logical Resources Trades believe health and safety is of paramount importance, and is always taken seriously  on all levels. The winner of the October Sales Competition Ryan O'Neil from the Logical Resources Trades Bristol office was rewarded with an all expenses trip to see Liverpool v Fulham at Anfield on Saturday 10th November.  Ryan took his colleague, Christian Shepherd, also from the Bristol office to watch Liverpool beat Fulham 2-0 with goals from Steve Gerrard and Fernando Torres. Liverpool, who were coming off the back of an 8-0 win against Besiktas in the Champions League pushed themselves up to 4th in the Premiership.

Ryan and Christian enjoyed three course pre-match dinner compered by John Aldridge, ex Liverpool striker and excellent hospitality at Anfield.  Ryan commented “It is good to be working for a company not scared to treat there consultants for their efforts, I'm just looking forward to next months competition!!!”

The judges will be looking for a manager who provides direction and purpose, who motivates others to achieve a high level of success and takes ownership for the team’s performance. This manager must have credibility within their organisation and act as a role model.

Gill, who started her recruitment career with Logical resources in 2004, having had no prior recruitment experience. Gill started her career as a resourcer under the wing of director Rob Carlton and has, since, progressed through the ranks of Consultant , Team Leader and now manager of the sales team in Leeds. “Gill has worked really hard over the past 3 years and being nominated as a finalist is a direct result of that hard work which has included lots of success with some of our key clients” said Rob Carlton, Manging Director. Gill now manages a large and successful team in Leeds which is set to increase in headcount over the coming months as Logical open a second office in the City. Gill rising to the position of Manger is testament to the way Logical do business, all consultants within the company start as Trainees and career progression is clear for all who start with the company which now boasts Directors and Managers who all began their recruitment career with the company.

By way of a reward, employees will get the chance to soak up the sun with a four day break in Majorca in September. It follows on from a similar short break in Ireland for their 2006 Xmas party as MD Rob Carlton explained:

One of the rising stars of the UK’s recruitment sector is set to make its mark on the North West with the opening of a new prestigious Manchester office at Salford Quays

Logical Resources, established in Leeds in 2002, has set up new offices opposite the Lowry Museum. The number of employees is predicted to grow from four currently to twenty by the end of 2007.
