A logical move for brave!

A LOGICAL MOVE FOR BRAVE !

Advice and assistance from the Bristol and Avon Enterprise (BRAVE) has helped to establish one of the UK’s fastest growing recruitment firms in the South West. Logical Resources Trades (LRT), who specialise in supplying construction labour, received extensive backing from BRAVE in their bid to establish a foothold in the region and LRT’s Bristol-based Director Steve Durant is keen to sing their praises: “They’ve been a magnificent organisation to work with and have given support and mentoring all the way down the line.

“BRAVE is playing a very real part in giving new entrepreneurs a head start and I would recommend them to any new enterprise,” added Steve whose business, situated in the Bradley Stoke area of Bristol, has grown rapidly and is on target for a 240% annual increase in turnover to £6 million in only its second year

Liz Sands of BRAVE commented: “We are delighted with Logical’s progress since expanding into the region and they are just one of thousands of firms that we’ve assisted over the past three decades.initially rented an office at The Coach House in September 2006 but have since flown the nest.

“They have gone on to bigger things and the kick start we’ve given them is helping to get them firmly placed on the UK’s recruitment map,” added Liz who provided networking and logistical advice to LRT as well as a start-up location.

BRAVE offers advice, training and consultancy to new and existing businesses in Bristol and also offers low-cost managed workspace at The Coach House in Upper York Street. LRT, part of the Leeds-based Logical Resources firm, also has offices in Manchester with additional branches due to open soon in Cardiff and Central London. LRT supplies labour for a number of prestigious civil engineering and construction projects including the M4 and M1 widening, O2 Arena, Bridgwater Place in Leeds and T5 at Heathrow.

A rapidly growing Leeds-based recruitment firm has expanded into familiar territory in readiness for another record year of growth.

Logical Resources, with headquarters on Regent Street, has increased in size by opening a second Leeds office directly opposite its original HQ .The five-year-old business recently registered a 105% increase in turnover to £4.2 million and is well on track to more than double in size again in 2008.

Managing Director Rob Carlton explained: “We are experiencing phenomenal growth that places us as one of the fastest growing recruitment firms in the UK and required a dramatic increase in office space to house our 11 strong industry sectors. We looked at various options but eventually decided to stay close to home.

“Logical Resources Trades, a business created to focuses primarily on construction recruitment, is expected to contribute to 65% of an expected £10 million turnover for both companies in 2008.

“There’s no truth in the rumour that we will soon be building a bridge over Regent Street to link our two HQ locations. I’d have never have got the planning but it would have been ideal!” added Rob who is expecting to double his workforce from 40 to 80 over the next twelve months.

Over the last two years Logical has opened offices in Manchester and Bristol . In February the firm will spread their network further with branches on Liverpool Street in Central London and Cardiff with a Glasgow office also on the agenda to cope with demand from a wide range of national and regional blue chip firms including BT, Nestle, 118 118 and Yellow Pages.

Yorkshire firm expands to help those heading Down Under

http://www.logicalresources.co.uk/?page=NewsSingle&itemID=8

A Leeds-based recruitment firm has established a new operating division which specialises in helping to smooth the process of relocating to Australia, it has emerged.

More and more workers in the UK are looking at the option of heading Down Under to live and work and the latest business expansion move from Logical Resources aims to take advantage of the opportunities presented as a result.

And the recruitment firm has already arranged to link up with Davidson Global, an Australian employment specialist, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.

"There is a growing demand on the part of UK workers to consider moving to Australia, and our new worldwide division's link with Davidson Global will make the whole process a lot easier," Rob Carlton, Logical Resources director, told the paper.

Logical Resources was founded in 2001, operates out of its Leeds city centre headquarters and claims to be a "young dynamic organisation".

Rob Carlton, Logical Resources MD, Included in KPMG's Under 42

Rob Carlton’s Interview for 42 Under 42

Running a business in Australia seems to be something Carlton, boss of this Leeds-headquartered recruitment agency, seems to have his sights on in the long term. Fifteen years ago he was hugely disappointed to discover, while working down under on a temporary visa, that he could not have it extended because he had no formal qualifications. (He opted out of education early, having hated it.)

Now, having set up his own business in an industry he has been working in since he was 18, he has gone into a joint venture with Davidson Global, one of Australia’s biggest recruitment agencies, aimed at helping people in the UK wanting to work in Australia. He says the Australian government’s attitude to foreign workers has changed completely in the past few years. However, while expanding down under may be a possibility in the long term, either by opening an office there or through a merger, for the moment he is still focusing on building the business in the UK. The company has just opened an office in Manchester and plans to open two more in the UK in 2007. And above all he wants to expand ethically. “If you get your clients the right people their business will grow and then they will come back to you,” he says. “BT and Nestlé

Recruitment Firm Bucks the Trend with Irish Break for 27 Staff!!

http://www.logicalresources.co.uk/?page=NewsSingle&itemID=10

A Yorkshire boss has hit out at a recently published report that states the region’s managers are the tightest when it comes to funding Christmas parties!

Jeff Adams, a Director of successful Leeds recruitment company Logical Resources, is opting for a Christmas party with a difference with all of the staff set for a two day Christmas party on the west coast of Ireland.!

All 27 members of staff from Logical Resources Leeds, Bristol and Manchester offices fly out this Friday for a luxury weekend at a hotel in Athenry near Galway.

Jeff explained: “It’s important that bosses look after their staff especially when times are good. We must remember that we spend around over a third of our life in work and if we can’t occasionally make an experience of it then we are letting down our workforce.

“I’m sure Yorkshire bosses are no better or worse than anyone else but reputations stick. It’s the season of goodwill to all and maybe that is something we should remember,” added Jeff.

The two day getaway will feature a pool and spa side sales meeting, followed by presentations which will take place in the Jacuzzi!!!!. This will be followed by a five course meal on the Friday before a relaxing Saturday in which employees will be free to do as they please.

The idea is the brainchild of Directors Rob Carlton and Jeff who have witnessed the firm make giant strides forward over the past 12 months. Both Jeff and Rob have promised that it will be Las Vegas in 2007 if similar progress is made!

Rob explained: “We have smashed last year’s figures with turnover to pass the £3m mark. We have also added two new offices, so we decided to reward everyone with a bit of a festive break.

“The poolside events will add some fun to the proceedings although we will be making sure that will be first chance they have to get in the drink!” added Rob.

Logical Resources was established in 2002 and has since grown rapidly with the opening of an office in Bristol and recent opening in Manchester. Logical are due to open in London, Glasgow and Belfast in 2007.

The company provides staff for a wide range of national and regional blue chip firms including BT, Nestle, and Morse group. The business supplies high calibre professionals to the Sales, IT, commercial, financial, driving, industrial, construction and engineering sectors.

Logical will also be launching an “Executive” brand in 2007 and will be extending their services overseas with a “Worldwide” division.
